SoleFit Podiatry specialises in the prevention, diagnosis, management and rehabilitation of disorders of the lower limbs and feet. Common bone and joint conditions treated include arthritis, soft tissue and muscular injuries as well as neurological and circulation issues, and skin and nail pathologies.

General foot care, including nail cutting, corn removal and plantar wart treatments are offered. Jen is also experienced in minimally invasive nail surgery to permanently fix painful ingrown toenails. Diabetes foot care and neurovascular assessments are also provided.

Jen is qualified in dry needling of the leg and foot, using this therapy with success to relieve soft tissue tension and expedite repair. Tendon loading programs are also utilised to stimulate healing and restore function.

Plantar heel pain (aka plantar fasciitis/ fasciopathy) is one of the most common conditions treated. Jen is focused on finding the cause of symptoms. A multifaceted treatment approach is used and individualised to the client. Options may include stretching and strengthening, dry needling, taping, footwear advice, heel cups and foot orthoses.

Foot orthoses (orthotics/insoles) are an option to improve biomechanics for specific patients. These are prescribed and customised to a client’s needs and activities. The latest technology is utilised with 3D scanning and 3D printing. Accommodative designs are also available according to your requirements. Uses of our orthoses include, but are not limited to, unloading knee osteoarthritis, excessively pronating feet (flat feet), high arched feet, mid foot arthritis, forefoot pain, heel pain and Achilles tendon injury.

SoleFit Podiatry welcomes clients from young children to seniors for assessment and treatment. Patients range from elite and recreational athletes to those just wanting to maintain and improve mobility. No referral is necessary and HICAPS is available in clinic for those with private health (extras cover). SoleFit podiatry also welcomes DVA, Workcover, TAC and Team Care Arrangement clients via GP or specialist doctor referral.

Deb is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who specialises in treating complex health conditions such as:

She is part of the Active Health Clinic team with clinics in Blackburn, Bendigo and Mornington and provides both in person and telehealth appointments.  

Deb helps people develop long-term self-management of their condition through education, by providing tools and strategies and, through movement therapy. Her approach enables an increase in activity levels and the ability for people to return to doing the things they most enjoy.

She has a personal interest in a variety of movement modalities including Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, yoga, power lifting and trapeze. Prior to a career in exercise physiology Deb was a music teacher in schools and with her own music studio.

Deb brings a wealth of knowledge and life experience to her role as a health practitioner.
